We hope you all got a bite of the bonhommes de pain d'epice that came home on Friday! They sure were fun to make!
We started by talking about our ingredients, looking at our cooking instruments, and writing the recipe together at morning circle...
Then we got to work...
Stirring...
Measuring...
Discussing...
Showing...
and smelling.
When the dough was cooled, we rolled it into balls, rolled it out flat and cut out our bonhommes, and baked them in the oven...
Finally, we got to decorate!
