Bon Nouvel An Chinois

Today we talked about some different ways people celebrate the Chinese New Year...

 The dragon symbolizes good luck...
and spring...
Oranges and tangerines stand for money and luck...

Little buds are a reminder that new things will always grow...
Getting our hair cut makes us feel new, too...
Children receive little red envelopes of money...

We decided to have a survey to see who likes to eat Chinese food. We're pretty sure the nons are friends who perhaps forgot the experience!
And then we made Chinese lanterns...

We love holidays! We were happy for today's special holiday, and happy that there is another very special one coming up soon! How will we celebrate?

  1. The year is the monkey correct? Dellah's nickname is Monkey; I have refrained from telling her it's "her" year. 😉
